Android call recording with a searchable transcript
Keep the audio and the words together, so you can find the part of a call that matters.
TalkSage records supported phone and VoIP calls and writes a transcript while you talk. Afterward, search for a name or number, tap a word to replay that moment, and review a summary of the decisions and next steps.
Set up call recording
- Install TalkSage from Google Play.
- Install the free TalkSage Helper during setup so it can detect calls.
- Grant the permissions shown in the app and choose your recording settings.
- Tell the other person you are recording, then make a test call and check that both sides are audible.
TalkSage also records microphone conversations and can import an existing audio file. The subscription's transcription minutes apply across calls, microphone recordings and imports; see the current plans and free trial.
Will it record both sides of every call?
No Android app can promise that on every phone and audio route. Some devices restrict access to the other person's voice; using speakerphone may help. Bluetooth headset and car calls may not be captured. Test your own phone and calling apps before depending on a recording. See recording troubleshooting.

Keep recordings private and lawful
Your recordings and transcripts are stored encrypted on your phone. Audio is streamed to a speech-recognition provider when you transcribe it; TalkSage does not keep a server copy. Recording laws vary by location. Many places require notice or consent from everyone on the call. Read the privacy policy.
