TalkSage

TalkSage Helper

A small free app that tells TalkSage when a phone or WhatsApp call starts and who is calling. TalkSage itself comes from Google Play; the Helper comes from here or the Galaxy Store, because Google Play doesn't allow its call-detection permissions.

Installing it

  1. Install TalkSage firstOpen it and sign in; it walks you through the rest.
  2. Download the HelperAndroid will ask to allow installs from your browser — allow it for this one file.
  3. Turn on its two switchesAccessibility → TalkSage Helper, and Notification access → TalkSage Helper. TalkSage opens both screens for you.
  4. Check in TalkSageSettings → Permissions should show every item green.

What it can and can't see

It seesThat a call started or ended, whether it's incoming or outgoing, and the caller's name — from calling apps' screens and notifications only.
It never seesYour messages, other apps, what you type, or anything outside a call.
It sendsThe call's audio to TalkSage on the same phone — nothing to the internet by itself.
