Terms of use
Last updated 19 September 2026
By using TalkSage you agree to these terms. They are written to be read.
1. The service
TalkSage, operated by Istaco London Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14510809), records calls and audio you choose, turns them into text, translates them, and writes summaries. The TalkSage Helper app is part of the service.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One free week per person and per phone number.
3. Record lawfully
You are responsible for making sure every recording you make is legal where you and the other people are. Many places require that everyone knows a call is being recorded; some require their consent. Do not use TalkSage to record anyone secretly where that is unlawful, or to harass, stalk or deceive anyone.
4. Plans, free weeks and payment
- Week 1 is free with no card, limited to 15 minutes a day.
- Plans are sold through Google Play and billed weekly. Choosing a plan starts a 7-day free trial; Google Play charges the weekly price when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- Each plan includes a number of minutes a week, shared by calls, microphone recordings and imported files. Unused minutes do not carry over.
- Cancel any time in Google Play. You keep the plan until the end of the week already paid for. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.
- Prices shown are the current offer and may change. A change never applies to a week you have already paid for, and we tell you before it applies to you.
5. Fair use
Don't try to get around the minute limits, create accounts to reuse the free week, reverse-engineer the service, or use it to overload our providers. We may limit or suspend accounts that do.
6. Transcripts and AI output
Speech recognition, translation and AI summaries can be wrong: names, numbers and dates especially. Check anything important against the recording. Don't rely on TalkSage for medical, legal, financial or emergency decisions.
7. Your content
Your recordings, transcripts and notes are yours. You give us only the permission needed to process them to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
8. Availability
We work to keep TalkSage running, but it depends on phones, networks and providers we don't control. Some phones or calls (for example calls over Bluetooth) cannot be recorded. We may change or stop parts of the service; if we stop it entirely, we will give notice and you keep access to what is on your phone.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for recordings that were not made or were lost on your device.
10. Ending
You can stop using TalkSage and delete your account at any time (how). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep any consumer protections your local law gives you.
